The ISM Young Scientist Award is established by the 49th Presidium Meeting of the International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM). It is given to no more than 10 young scientists in the field of mining surveying in recognition of their outstanding early career achievements.

INRTU and FEFU plan to create an engineering center for the provision of services in the field of mine surveying and geodesy. The Department of Surveying and Geodesy of INRTU and the FEFU School of Engineering have concluded a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the head of the department - the president of the International Union of Surveyors (ISM), Anatoly Okhotin, and the director of the School of Engineering Alexander Becker. The parties discussed the idea of ​​creating a joint engineering center in the Far East.
