ISM Awards 2026 are open for nomination. The following is a brief summary of all awards granted by the International Society for Mine Surveying on each ISM Congress. All nomination should be submitted to ISM Coordination Division before 30 May, 2026. The ISM Executive Presidium will review the nomination and inform the winners before 30 June, 2026. The awards are presented at the Closing Ceremony of the ISM Congress 2026. Only the winners who attend the ISM Congress 2026 will be ultimately awarded.

On September 17-18, 2022, the Chinese National Committee of The International Society for Digital Earth and the People's Government of Yangquan City organized the second Digital Energy and Sustainable Development Forum in Yangquan City, Shanxi Province, China.

According to the decision of the 50th Presidium Meeting, the XIX International Congress for Mine Surveying will be held in Cape Town, South Africa in September 2026. The main organizer is the Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa.

On May 21, 2022, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Technical University and the International Society for Mining Surveying held an international scientific and technical conference on "Risks of digital transformation for rational and safe utilization of underground space in the 21st century, Challenges and Issues". President of the International Society for Mine Surveying, Professor Huang Leting was invited to participate in the online meeting and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

According to agreements and discussion of the 50th Presidium Meeting, ISM is calling for proposal to establish several Groups on professional field under each ISM Commission.
