1. Opening of the 37th Presidium Meeting Professor Dorj Dondov, Chairman of Organising Committee, welcomed all members and guests to the meeting and thanked them for travelling to Mongolia. He announced that 37th Presidium Meeting of the ISM is coinciding with two special events, namely the 3rd meeting of the Mongolian Mine Surveying Association (MMSA) and 50th anniversary of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST). He introduced Mr Kh. Badamsuren, Member of Mongolian Parliament, Mr L. Purev, Director of Mining Engineering School of MUST. Mr Kh. Badamsuren, welcomed all attendees and guests to Mongolia, wishing them a successful meeting and good stay in Ulaanbaatar. Mr L. Purev spoke on behalf of MUST stating that it was a great honour for MUST to be hosting the 37th Presidium meeting.

1. Opening of the 36th Presidium Meeting Mr Livingstone-Blevins, President of the ISM, welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them for travelling the long distance to South Africa. A special welcome was given to guests, observers and first-time attendees. He introduced Mr Udo Pfafferott, President of the Institute of Mine Surveyors of South Africa (IMSSA), Mr Alex Bals, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the XIVth International Congress and Mr Colin Bennett, Chairman of the Public Relations Committee of IMSSA – organiser of the Presidium meeting.

Prof Erik Ludvigsen, Chairman of the ISM Language Committee on the official languages of ISM according to the decision 5th of the Presidium Meeting held in Leoben, in 2006. 9. Report of Dr. Barátosi Kálmán (Hungary), President of ISM, on the achievement of decisions 8th and 9th of the 34rd ISM Presidium Meeting.
