The 51th ISM Presidium Meeting in 2024 will take place in South Africa

According to the decision of the 50th Presidium Meeting, the 51st Presidium Meeting of ISM will be held in Cape Town, South Africa in 6th-9th October, 2024. The main organizer is the Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa. 

 

The main topics of this meeting including: (1) Academic exchange; (2) Report from each commissions and member countries; (3) Confirmation of new Commission Co-chair, Commission Secretary, Group Head, Regular Members of ISM, and Senior Commission Members; (4) Discussion on the future activities.

 

Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa, the legislative capital of South Africa, the capital of the Western Cape Province, and a part of the metropolitan area of Cape Town. The South African Parliament and numerous government departments are also located in the city. Cape Town is renowned for its beautiful natural scenery and docks. The population of Cape Town is approximately 4.01 million.
