INTRGEO is the largest geographic information congress in Europe. National and international experts will inform you about the technical developments and offer their ideas for the perception, processing and presentation of geo-information. The focus is also on advanced training. Workshops and discussion centers will complement the program of side events. Represented industries: geodesy, geology, geoinformatics, photogrammetry and cartography, surveying tools.

Professor of INRTU Anatoly Okhotin invited the participants of the INTERGEO exhibition to the International Congress for Mine Surveying, which will be held in 2019 in Irkutsk. Anatoly Okhotin got acquainted with the newest equipment at the INTERGEO exhibition in Germany (Frankfurt am Main). He invited foreign colleagues to the International Congress for Mine Surveying, which will be held in 2019 in Irkutsk.

The international conference and trade exhibition of geodesy, geoinformation and land management technologies was held in Frankfurt am Main from October 16 to 18. The forum participants included more than 600 companies from 37 countries of the world (nine companies from Russia). The event is of interest to a wide range of professionals: from civil servants, cadastre specialists, power engineers, oil workers, environmentalists, logistics specialists, waste management, insurance companies and rescue organizations. The basic theme of the 24th INTERGEO exhibition was the role of geodata in the digitalization of the surrounding world (digitalization is the process of transition from analog to digital form).

As Professor Anatoly Okhotin noted, INTERGEO changes its venue from year to year. These are usually world-famous cities: Berlin in 2017, Frankfurt am Main in 2018 and Stuttgart in 2019. Exhibitors present to the attention of trade visitors new devices, equipment, innovative technological solutions, software.

The large-scale exhibition occupied two floors of the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center, where a lot of advanced technological solutions were reflected. Modern equipment emphasized the main trend: the world is going to minimize the devices for collecting information, more comfortable computing. The momentum that digitalization gives is constantly growing, and INTERGEO reflects the current market dynamics. Therefore, the focus of the exhibitors was on digitalization and innovation, which it brings from the point of view of BIM, virtual and augmented reality, unmanned aerial vehicles and smart cities, ”said Anatoly Okhotin. “Visitors were able to see not only improved versions of laser scanners and aerial cameras, but also solutions for smartphones and tablets.

A small add-on to mobile systems allows you to use them as laser scanners, issuing a cloud of points. Currently, the issue of the accuracy of filming in this way is being resolved. However, I am sure that all problems will be closed promptly, because if the technology is in demand, it will quickly “catch up” with the demand of the industry. ”

According to the head of the department of surveying and geodesy, INTERGEO is also traditionally an international platform for the presentation of the capabilities of drones on which the most diverse geodetic equipment is installed. “This year, interesting drones showed companies from the United States, Canada and Israel. In addition, a high level of technology development showed China. Our Chinese partners produce almost all classic tools and accessories for them, and now they are approaching the production of a laser scanner, which is the highest level of instrument making. A prototype of such a scanner was shown at the PRC stand.

Russia was represented by the companies Aeroskan, Sovzond, etc. The exhibitors were also able to communicate with the staff of the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SGUGiT). This is one of the leading technical universities of Novosibirsk, which trains engineers, bachelors and masters in the field of geodesy, cadastre, cartography and remote sensing. SSUGIT actively cooperates with the organizers of INTERGEO and holds on its site an exhibition and scientific congress "Interexpo GEO-Siberia", - said the president of ISM.

Professor Anatoly Ohotin exchanged contacts with foreign colleagues. Many of the best decision makers from Canada, Israel, Slovenia, China and Italy have shown interest.
