ISM, INRTU and CUMT explore new opportunities for talent cultivation cooperation

On the afternoon of June 12, 2024, representatives from the International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM), Irkutsk National Research Technical University in Russia (INRTU), and China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) met for in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation in talent cultivation.

 

Skipan Bekov, Vice-Rector of Irkutsk National Research Technical University, stated that Irkutsk National Research Technical University and China University of Mining and Technology have similar historical backgrounds, disciplinary settings, and development visions, and are natural friendly partners. Over the years, scholars from both sides have conducted multiple in-depth collaborations and achieved fruitful results. He looks forward to both sides actively exploring broader fields of exchange and cooperation on the basis of existing cooperation, especially carrying out undergraduate and master's degree programs between the two universities, to cultivate more ambassadors of friendship for the future of China and Russia.

Professor Huang Leting, Vice President of the International Society for Mine Surveying, attended the meeting and introduced the history and experience of cooperation between the International Society for Mine Surveying and Irkutsk National Research Technical University in Russia and China University of Mining and Technology. These two universities successfully held the 17th and 18th International Congress for Mine Surveying, respectively, which had a very good impact internationally. Professor Huang Leting stated that the International Society for Mine Surveying will provide active support to the two universities.
